Q: Where can I find other information about the program?

Q: How many teams does Ridge Point have?
A: Ridge Point High has 3 teams: Varsity (any grade), JV (any grade), Freshman (Freshman only).
Q: Do we have to attend all sessions of tryouts?
A: Yes, you do.
Q: Will there be any workouts associated with tryouts?
A: Yes, we will have a timed workout the first day, and workouts the 2nd day of tryouts and after the teams have been made. Therefore, make sure you are working out this summer. Timed workout will be posted later.
Q: When do we practice?
A: If you make a team, you will be placed in the volleyball athletic period.
· 1st period- 9th/JV, 7thperiod- Varsity
· Freshman/JV practice: 5:45 to end of 1st/
· Varsity: 7th period to 5pm

Tuesday: GAME DAY
Wednesday: Practice/ Weight room (usually a short day)
Thursday: Practice
Friday: GAME DAY
Saturday: Position training/Weight room
Q: Are all practices mandatory?
A: Yes. Obviously if you are sick you don’t need to be there, but we expect everyone to be at all practices and games during the year. See handbook for more specific regarding missed practice.
Q: Do we have to miss school on game days?
A: Sometimes, yes. It will depend on where we are going. It is important to stay organized and talk to your teachers early as players are still responsible for completing all assignments and making up tests/labs.
Q: Do we eat a team meal on game days?
A: Yes. All players will have the opportunity to sign up for game day meals for the entire season. Players cannot leave school on game days.
Q: Does FBISD provide transportation to games?
A: Yes. We will have buses for our away matches. Players will travel together to the opponent's gym. All players must remain until the last match is completed. Players cannot leave after their match. See handbook.
